Stix is a sweet cuddly little guy; he is great with other cats and even dogs. He runs up to his canine buddies and rubs up against them. Stix loves to purr, he is litterbox trained and doesn’t get into too much trouble for a kitten. Stix is recovering from an accident, one of his foster brothers (a puppy) bit him under his chin. He was on some antibiotics but recovered very quickly, and he still loves dogs. Let’s find Stix a home before the holidays, kittens should never have to grow up in rescue. His adoption fee is $150 dollars which includes his first shots, deworming, tattoo and neuter.
If you interested in adopting Stix, please phone Courtney at secondchancerescue_wpg@yahoo.ca.

My name is Sam. I’m a medium sized boy, just over 6 months old. I am believed to be some sort of Elkhound/Shepherd mix. I love living on a farm and am a good dog working cattle close up. I love to play with the cats and other dogs. Children are so much fun and I love nothing more than to cuddle with you and chew on an old sock or a chewie. I love car rides, sitting by the fire on a chair, curling up at your feet or hanging out outside.
I am (or was kinda undone a bit now) crate trained, will walk on a leash, don’t bit or growl. I am too much action for my foster mom, and even though she loves me a lot she would like me to move to a home where I can hang with someone every day – truck rides, checking cows, walking, talking... sleeping? I have good manners for a young dog, but I do best in a crate with my bed and toys if I have to be left alone. I’ll be your bestest pal ever seen!
If you interested in adopting Sam, please phone Shanyn at ssilinski@xplornet.com.

Taxi is a 3 year old Australian Shepherd. She is very sweet and gets along well with cats. Taxi would do best in a home with no other dogs or a laid back non aggressive dog. Taxi is usually shy and nervous at first, but warms up quickly. She will need to go to obedience classes to build up her confidence.
If you interested in adopting Taxi, please phone Courtney at secondchancerescue_wpg@yahoo.ca.

Ella is an 8 month old Corgi/Border Collie mix. She is a very sweet, friendly girl. Ella gets along great with kids, other dogs and cats. Ella would benefit from some obedience classes but once she learns some manners Ella will be the perfect little dog.
Ella is spayed, tattooed, vaccinated and dewormed. Please research the breeds before asking about her, we will be picking the perfect family for her.
If you interested in adopting Ella, please phone Courtney at secondchancerescue_wpg@yahoo.ca.

Sara is a very energetic and affectionate dog that depends a lot of love and attention. She will be 8 years old in August and has had a lot of time spent on her in training. When she is focused, she will "heel", "come", "give a paw", "stay", "speak", and "go over there" (where you point).
Sara loves to run and play with other dogs, being brushed, and also loves to lay on your tummy and watch some TV. She enjoys bird hunting (although she doesn't always bring them back) and the water - she can outswim anyone!
If you interested in adopting Sara, please phone Ron at 204-299-8531 and leave a message. Ron is only in town every other week, and will return your call when he is home.

Patrick needs a special home. He is a handsome, male neutered Border Collie cross. This dog is a diamond in the rough and needs ongoing retraining to deal with some behavioural problems. He has responded well to behaviour modification exercises but needs more practice. He requires ongoing socialization with people and other animals.
His ideal home would be with an experienced dog owner (adults only), preferably one who has either dealt with dogs with behavioural problems or is willing to learn. He would enjoy being a well cared for farm dog or an indoor pet for someone who is very active. We think a lot of issues would resolve with increased exercise and a stable home environment.
He would need a good leader who is firm and fair but very loving. Written information can be provided and demonstrations of behaviour modification exercises can be provided. Follow-up visits and help with retraining after his adoption can be provided if necessary. This dog would be well worth the effort. He is loyal, loving and quite smart once he trusts you.
If you are interested in adopting Patrick, please call (204)-728-2292 and ask for Brett or Liana.
