Help for Ghost

March 9, 2010

Ghost has had one hip repaired so far, plus her spay surgery. She is recovering at her foster mom Rebecca's home, surrounded by lots of love and care.

Thank you to those wonderful supporters who have donated towards Ghost's vet bill - Cathy Kelly, Tracy Baldwin and Denise Anobis. Your help means the world to a little dog who was going to die because nobody wanted to pay to have her hips fixed. Without your help, we couldn't do this kind of rescue!

In 8 weeks, Ghost will have her second surgery. She is SUCH a good girl!

Here are a few new photos of Ghost after her first surgery.

Ghost is an 11 month old Border Collie female that was pulled from a shelter in Missouri, US. She was abandoned and left to die at the shelter because her owners didn't want her anymore. It has been discovered she has bilateral hip dysplasia, and requires two surgeries that will cost just under $2000. Below is the quote per hip from our veterinarian.

Ghost is house broken and working on her crate training. She is good with kids and other dogs, but likes to chase cats and very small dogs.

At this time, we are asking for donations to help cover her vet care. We will also be looking for a patient and loving foster home that can give her a nice, warm home to recuperate in and until a new forever home is found for her, or a forever home willing to help her through her recovery.

If you are interested in donating, check out our donations page for information on monetary donations**. If you would be interested in fostering Ghost, please contact us.

Thank you!

**If you wish to donate through Paypal on the donations page, please specify in the "description" box provided on the Paypal website that your donation is for Ghost and her vet care. Thank you!
