Hull's Haven Border Collie Rescue is a volunteer operated, non-profit rescue group located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We rescue Border Collies and Border Collie mixes in who have been surrendered, neglected or dumped in a pound and help them to find permanent, loving homes.
On another note, Volpe now has a little nest egg set aside just for his vetting in emergencies. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the generous people who donated to this cause. This will ensure there is help available for the family who chooses to make Volpe their new family member.
Lastly, we are in great need foster homes. Please contact us and ask what it takes to be an HHBCR foster home. It is a great feeling to make a difference in the life of one of these wonderful dogs!

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the online auction. It was a great success, with funds of $1100 being raised. This will be a huge help to our vetting needs, and also to FFAS for helping Dazzle in her desperate time of need.
A special note of thanks to Jessica Hansen and Barb Dexter for all their very hard work in setting it all up and running it. You two are amazing, and we really appreciate you!

Until you have held a tiny puppy in your arms as it kissed your face with slobbery puppy breath and felt the love,
Until you have held an injured or severely ill dog in your arms and felt their pain,
Until you have looked into the eyes of a tired aging senior dog and felt their wisdom,
And until you have seen and understood the look in your dogs eyes that tell you their time on earth with you is over ... and you humanely let them go,
You will never understand the life of a rescuer.
We find beauty in the most incomprehensible places and the otherwise homely faces.
It is our gift to see beyond the dirt, terror, sadness and defeat and find the true soul that lies within.
We are Rescue.
