Hull’s Haven Border Collie Rescue is looking for foster homes. If there's one thing rescues need more of, it's those SPECIAL fosters... the heroes.The ones who will take the time, the patience and be that person who sees the potential in a dog that hasn't been given a chance.They're not the cute little dogs that everyone wants. They're not that adorable waddling ball of fur that puppies are.They're the ones that humans let down, the dogs that have love in their hearts despite neglect, abuse or just plain ignorance.These two beautiful boys are needing just such heroes.Steel, (top photos) about 65 lbs, is a 5 or 6 year old single breed poodle who was strictly used for breeding in a typical "Doodle mill".No love. No toys. Nobody cared... just breed and make money. He is shy, craves attention but is scared, cannot be around other male dogs, but females are fine.Dandy is another one. (lower photos) He's about 40 lbs, same history. He's much less shy, very affectionate, food motivated, energetic. He is great with all other dogs, and has HUGE potential, he’s just completely unschooled. Where are those special fosters, willing to put time and effort into a dog with overflowing potential? My name is Chalice but my foster Mum calls me Chelsea. At approximately 6 years old, I am a small Yellow Lab, around 30 lbs.I was dumped in a small town and left to fend for myself, blind, emaciated and terrified. I have a huge scar on my neck from a bad past injury.A kind lady rescued me off the street, and I became a Hull’s Haven Foster pup. I have faced and overcome many difficulties, including a very painful condition that has left me blind, and my eyes were surgically removed. That sure doesn't stop me though! My foster mom had me house trained quickly, because I'm a very smart lady!I am loving and loyal. I only want all your love and attention while I adjust to a new environment as I can’t see. I get along well with my adopted dog sisters, enjoy people and am food oriented. Mum says these are traits of a Lab. I am very laid back and my favourite thing is to cuddle with my person. I will go everywhere with you. If you want a snuggler and a forever companion, I am the girl you are looking for.I would prefer a home without young children just because the busyness might be a bit much for me. I've not been cat tested, but I'm a gentle soul, so they probably won't be an issue.
