Cassie came up from Kentucky, due to be put down simply because her owner had "too many dogs", and the shelter was over-crowded. Sadly, this is an all too familiar story. Cassie was also in standing heat when we got her. Thankfully, she was in a shelter and then with us, so she did not bring more unwanted pups into the world.

One February 24th, a very nice family came to see Cassie. They brought their daughters with them, and the youngest one, Anne, was in for a surprise. She didn't know they had come to meet a wonderful little dog, and that dog, Cassie, was to belong to Anne! Cassie loved her right away...and Anne loved Cassie too!

They all loved her, and now Cassie has her very own forever home and her very own little girl.
