Victoria came up from Kentucky with Cassie. Well...she came halfway. When the transport was coming up here, they had to overnight at Susan Kanthak's home. My phone rang at 6:15 Saturday morning...the day we were to meet the transport. I took the phone from Brian. "Sally? It's Sue Kanthak. Your overnighter." "Oh my God...Sue...what is wrong? Are the dogs okay?" "They are fine Sally! Everyone is fine. There is just one thing. We have fallen in love with Victoria, and we want your permission to adopt her." I was stunned. I was still asleep.

We talked for a long time, and Sue assured me she understood the ramifications of adopting a Border Collie. She promised to have her spayed right away, and to take good care of her. She also promised if for some reason things didn't work, Victoria would come to us. Victoria is now Grace, and she is a very happy dog. Here she is with her wonderful new family, including Oatmeal the dog.
