It was Opus, but my foster Mama nicknamed me Schpoopy, and it stuck. I know I know, it's peculiar, but she loves me. Let me tell you my story. I was born in a puppy mill in Ohio. When I was just 8 weeks old I had a bad accident, and my tail was torn off, and my spine was damaged. The bad people never took me to the vet for help, so I dragged my back legs around for 3 months, and I had a big sore on my backside from dragging myself. Then a kind lady who rescues puppy mill dogs took me from that bad place, and after a while, I went in the sky! I really did! Pilots N Paws helped me to fly to Canada! I was 5 months old and I could not walk or stand up. My new foster mama and Auntie Nikki helped me! I saw doctors who did massage and acupuncture, and I got a WHEELCHAIR too! With lots of help I am now able to stand and I can go FASTER FASTER in my chair with wheels! I fetch frisbees and balls! I have a special life jacket that I wear, and then I fetch in the water and SWIM! I love swimming! I am embarrassed to admit though, because of my accident, I cannot control when I potty. At night I wear a diaper if I sleep on Mom's bed, or I sleep on a towel in my crate. Because I eat special raw food, my poops are easy to clean up. Foster Mom says it is not stinky anymore. I love cuddles and snuggles. I am really smart and I know how to get ready for my wheelchair. I come when Foster Mom calls me every single time! I have fun playing with other dogs too! I like to wrestle and play tug. I need a very special place. A place where I will get lots of love and special care, but also treated like a normal dog, because in my heart, I am just a normal little dog who loves life. I am just one year old, and I have a lot of life to live and a lot of love to give. If you feel Opus could be a great match for you, please complete an adoption application.
