I'm Ricky! I am approximately * age My rescue thinks I am a * breed / mix How I am with other dogs * How I am with cats * Am I OK with children? * certain ages? Training * house trained/kennel-crate Energy Level * high, medium, low More about me... Ricky is a beautiful Chocolate lab / Husky mix, who has really come far during his time in foster. When Ricky first joined us he was covered in shotgun pellets. His whole back was shot up and there is still a bullet in his rear. Well don't dwell on the past, because Ricky sure isn't! He has adjusted to home living, he is making new friends every day and is ready to find his forever home! Ricky LOVES playing with other dogs. He isn't interested in fetch, or playing tug with people but maybe that will come one day. For now he is all about his doggy friends! Ricky is so charming. He loves to be where you are, and is known to flop down on your feet. He is very cuddly and loves getting back rubs! He is more leery of men and prefers the ladies, but once he warms up to you and trusts you, he is golden! He is gentle with taking treats and is learning more about the leash. Ah yes, the leash! He is still not 100% used to it, he is starting to tolerate it, but patience and treats (HE LOVES TREATS) will help him get used to it. He does well on walks and is getting used to the city noises. Ricky would do best in a home with another playful dog, older children (12+ recommended) and we are not sure about cats. He will require a securely fenced yard and lots of love and patience. He needs a firm, consistent but positive owner, one that will continue to work with him to help him reach his true potential. No pushovers for this guy! He will run the roost in no time if you let him. He still likes to chew, so watch out slippers and shoes! Don't dwell on the past and feel sorry for him! He sure doesn't hold any grudges and is ready to start his new life! Age - approx 1 yearEnergy - medium/highCats - unknownChildren - recommended 12+ Fenced yard is a must!
