Meet Texas!

Texas requires medication for his neurological issues, annual exams, and food.
Sponsorship: $25 per month, although any amount helps!
Texas is a beautiful border collie rescued from a terrible situation. When he came into care it was apparent that the abuse he experienced as a pup was a lasting, physical issue. Texas is a loving, goofy boy, even with his issues.
His foster family took him to Saskatchewan for an MRI. His physical exam saw the neurological issues and believe it is intra cranial related. The MRI resulted in a fluid sac on the left side of his brain. There are normal fluid sacs in the brain but this one is about 2-3 times the normal size. There is also atrophy of that area of the brain as well caused by trauma. This is what is causing all his neurological issues. Unfortunately, there is nothing more to do than what we are doing now.
On the plus side, he is happy and managing.
His forever foster family writes, “At this point we just enjoy the happy boy he is and watch for any worsening of symptoms/seizures in the future. We couldn’t be more lucky to have this boy a part of our lives and we will love him forever. He is just something special.”
