Training * house trained/kennel-crate More about me... Meet the shy and unique Gypsy Sweet Gypsy is a very special needs dog. She's just over a year old, a Border Collie Lab cross. We have no idea what happened to her as a puppy, but it certainly wasn't pleasant... that much is clear. Gypsy was purchased at the age of 4 months by a couple who had no idea she had been subjected to abuse. When they bought her, she was extremely shut down. After 9 months of trying, they asked us to take her. Gypsy wants affection on her terms. If you're sitting or laying down, she will come close for a bit of love. She sleeps on her foster mom's bed, and allows her to stroke her head, even occasionally asking with a soft nudge. On leash, she circles and circles, in the yard, she runs circles...unless she's chasing squirrels. She's 100% house trained, and crate trained as well. She's not noisy in the house, but will bark when there's excitement outside. Gypsy needs a quiet, gentle person/people in her life willing to make an effort, or just accept her for who she is.
